Fellowship projects are carefully developed to align with CASCADE’s programmatic areas, flagship initiatives, and the unique contexts of the Somaiya campuses and their associated communities, ensuring that every cohort undertakes work that is locally relevant and context-specific. Each year, a cohort of 4–6 Fellows is selected to undertake these projects.

Fellows contribute to foundational observations, documentation, early-stage initiatives, research synthesis, workshop or curriculum development that can be taken forward by future REACH Fellows. This makes the programme a rolling and evolving effort, where each cohort adds new insights while strengthening continuity in the work.

Depending on the priorities and requirements in a given year, Fellows may work on similar thematic areas and projects, or engage in different projects within the same thematic focus areas, ensuring both continuity and flexibility within the programme’s broader goals.
